What we don’t like about the Lululemon Wildfeel Trail
ALLISON: I didn’t have much to complain about with the Wildfeel Trail shoe, which is saying a lot, considering I always find something. Overall, Lululemon did a solid job delivering a high-quality trail shoe that performs well across a variety of terrain.
That said, my biggest gripe is with the color choices. I’m just not a fan of Barbie pink, especially not for trail running. It feels a bit out of place when you’re surrounded by dirt, rocks, and nature. On top of that, the use of bright white on a trail shoe is baffling. White may look clean out of the box, but after one muddy run, that’s over. I’d love to see more earthy, practical tones in future colorways.
As for performance, my only real concern is breathability in the upper. It could use a bit more airflow, especially on hot runs. Also, the sock-like design, while comfortable, might allow debris to sneak in. If you’re running on extra dusty trails, I recommend pairing this shoe with a gaiter to protect your feet. Still, these issues are relatively minor, and the overall experience on the Wildfeel Trail was much better than expected.
