At this point, it feels like everyone and their training partner is starting a run club. But when one of the world’s fastest runners joins the trend, it’s a sign that run clubs must be cool. On Wednesday, Norwegian distance running icon Jakob Ingebrigtsen announced his newest running project: Spring Run Club.
The new run club aims to “build a global community rooted in the craft and science of running”, which means, in run-club terms, it’s more than just sweaty selfies on Instagram and post-run oat milk lattes. Ingebrigtsen, along with his brothers Henrik and Filip, plus fellow Norwegian Olympian Karoline Grøvdal, will share workouts, training tips and a behind-the-scenes look at pro running life.
“I’m excited to have launched Spring Run Club together with my brothers… and friends,” Ingebrigtsen wrote on Instagram. “We are combining all that we have learned and experienced through our careers—and sharing it with all runners out there, no matter what level you are at.”
Members will reportedly get access to curated training content, community events and even a chance to run alongside the stars. If you’ve ever wanted to get dropped on an easy run by Ingebrigtsen himself, sign up for the free online platform to find future group runs and community-led events.
“Whether you’ve just laced up your shoes for the first time or you’re chasing a PR, you’ll find a place here,” wrote Ingebrigtsen. We love the mental image of the world’s second-fastest miler in history running 10-minute kilometres and engaging in post-run yoga.
Ingebrigtsen hasn’t lost a race yet in 2025, kicking it off with double gold at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China. Since March, he’s been sidelined with an injury, working to return for a few Diamond League meets before gunning for the one major medal that has eluded him: outdoor world 1,500m gold.
